Short version

HeadFlash sets no advertising or tracking cookies and uses no advertising or cross-site trackers. Audience measurement is cookieless (Cloudflare Web Analytics — see below). The only thing we store on your device is a single theme preference (light/dark) kept in your browser’s local storage. Because it is strictly functional and holds no personal data, no consent banner is required.

For audience measurement we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless — it stores nothing on your device and uses no fingerprinting or cross-site tracking. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or social-media trackers. Search runs fully in your browser (Pagefind) and sets nothing.

Email and podcast

Links inside our emails may include tracking parameters so our email provider can count opens and clicks — this happens in the email client, not via cookies on this website, and is covered by the Privacy Policy. Podcast download statistics are derived from the request to the audio host, not from cookies.

Managing storage

You can clear local storage at any time in your browser settings; the only effect is that your theme choice is forgotten.

If we ever introduce analytics or other non-essential storage, we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting anything.
